UNTITLED#1: Photo Editions and multiples
Copeland Gallery, London
December 11- 13 2017
The photoworks and editions presented in this exhibition were developed in the Photography and the Gallery module led by paula roush with dave lewis and 2nd year Photography, School of Arts and Creative Industries / London South Bank University
We structured our project into three key stages to move students swiftly from research, to design thinking to production and presentation of the photoworks.
1- Historical overview of photographic editions, multiples and full range of its applications in art, fashion and advertising;
2- Design process, to plan and test-print new photoworks. Conceptual thinking, photographic editing and prototyping. This includes visits to UV-printing studio, overview of 3D substrates and preparation of files to outsource printing;
3- Final production and presentation of the works by curating and showcasing the exhibition at the Copeland gallery.
With the support of Canon, students were able to have their photoworks printed with Arizona printers at a reduced cost.
