msdm's  Protest Academy is part of General Panel's introductory summer course on 'Protest and Production of Urban Space' in Leipzig.

The academy was launched in London as a performative archive that developed throughout a three weekend period at the Elastic Residence. For the occasion, the guest delegates participated with works of   tactical sound for the 4 part collective score of the academy's inaugural lecture titled: 'What are we doing? What's happening to us? What needs to be done? I prefer not to' which was performed and streamed live during the weekend of 26th and 27th February.

The third project in general panel’s trilogy for homeland modernity, msdm’s protest academy moved to leipzig for the 2nd extra-curricular module: space [re]production and retro-configuration. As an experimental form of knowledge production, the academy worked through site specific investigation in a series of issues that are central to msdm's practice: the mobility of contemporary aesthetic practices, the geographies of social movements, tactics of mobilisation and the performative qualities of public space.
