Elastic
residence is a gallery space for projects and durational performance
established in the autumn 2004 by Deej Fabyc and Joanna Callaghan and
is situated in a house built in 1779 in Whitechapel, East London.
Five Leipzig-based
institutions and groups from different cultural fields coordinate Heimat
Moderne, which lasts from March to September 2005: the Galerie für
Zeitgenössische Kunst (visual arts), the Buero für urbane
Projekte (city planning office), the Forum Zeitgenössischer Musik
Leipzig e.V. (new music), raum4 (performing arts), and General Panel
(artists and urban activists). Heimat Moderne is funded by:
Kulturstiftung des Bundes (German Federal Cultural Foundation).
