O gesto iniciou-se na horta comunitária do MIRA — uma ruína convertida para o cuidado partilhado. Colhemos plantas como quem escuta. Realizada a 30 de agosto de 2024, esta oficina reuniu doze participantes num gesto de atenção às formas de vida que persistem nas margens. Entre o horto terapêutico e o jardim da galeria MIRA, o encontro foi um exercício de escuta do visível — um convite a perceber o pulsar do verde na fissura do betão, a energia latente que atravessa os territórios negligenciados da cidade.
As plantas foram impressas em fitogramas, mergulhadas em águas ativadas. Nasceram imagens efémeras: tácteis, partilhadas, registos sensíveis da presença vegetal.
Também aqui ocorreu o processo da panela suja (dirty pot): as plantas tintoriais foram fervidas em panelas antigas, tingindo tecidos e roupas recicladas. Neste laboratório doméstico, a cor extrai-se como alquimia, e o gesto íntimo torna-se arquivo — matéria viva, memória partilhada, contaminação poética.
Os protocolos de impressão com matéria vegetal envolvem contacto direto com o território — plantas recolhidas em deriva, tecidos reutilizados, soluções sensíveis à luz. são práticas situadas, ecológicas e tácteis.

The gesture began in the MIRA community garden — a ruin transformed into a space of shared care. We gathered plants as one listens.
Held on August 30, 2024, this workshop brought together twelve participants in an act of attention to the forms of life that persist on the margins. Between the therapeutic garden and the MIRA gallery garden, the encounter became an exercise in listening to the visible — an invitation to perceive the pulse of green in the cracks of concrete, the latent energy that flows through the city’s neglected territories.
The plants were printed as phytograms, immersed in activated waters. Ephemeral images emerged: tactile, shared, sensitive records of vegetal presence. Here too, the dirty pot process took place: dye plants were boiled in old pans, tinting recycled fabrics and garments. In this domestic laboratory, colour is extracted as alchemy, and the intimate gesture becomes archive — living matter, shared memory, poetic contamination.
The printing protocols with plant matter involve direct contact with the territory — plants gathered in drift, reused fabrics, light-sensitive solutions. These are situated, ecological, and tactile practices.
