One of my favourite annual  projects is the photobook module with 2nd year photography students at the london South Bank University.  These were the photobook dummies presented at the mid-term crit. I love so many things about them: the hand made aspect with pages sewn by hand, the use of found photography (‘photographic work by boots’ by arturas bondarciukas and ‘off-guard’ by lisa drew), the exploration of the family in photography through themes of loss  (‘back home’ by johnny symeou), self-harm (‘deeper than the cut’ by lauren watson), memory and re-enactment (‘home town’ by kate clement), the hommage to japanese photobook (in the zines by stefan cottrell), collage (‘alteration’ by libby davies), research into spaces and places (‘anamnesis’ by maria hargreaves and ‘clouds and doors’ by sam taylor), the translation of online photography to printed format (‘@joshuacrawley’ by joshua crawley) and inversely, the creation of an open network book through instructions to cut and fold (‘packed’ by emily carver).
