1. DIY bookbinding
This is an example of a ready-made bookbinding kit we found at Amazon for our photobook students.
It was a convenient choice during the pandemic, because it was already assembled and ready to be shipped.
I've used here to inspire you to create your own book kit, ideally, with tools and materials you already have available
in your home and studio. If you're missing any of the items you can purchase them separately,
there is no need to buy a complete kit.

Lupton, Ellen(Editor) Indie Publishing:
How to Design and Produce Your Own Book
The rise of self-publishing activities in recent
years is part of what writer Chris Anderson has
called “the long tail.” According to Anderson,
the age of mass media is coming to an end. We
now live in a world that supports an enormous
range of content tailored to a literally endless
diversity of people. The tall but narrow peak
at the beginning of Anderson’s graph represents
the best-sellers—the “hits” that used to
rule the marketplace. The long, skinny part
represents the niche products that sell far
fewer copies individually than any one hit,
but as a group are commanding a larger and
larger share of the market. The “long tail” is
populated by blogs, independent music and
video, zines, short-run books and novels,
machinima, and countless other small-scale,
niche-oriented endeavors.
